Connecticut Freemason Family Day: Hartford Wolf Pack Hockey Game

The puck drops on March 26, at 5:00PM, for the third-annual Connecticut Freemason Family Day at the XL Center, where Masonic family and friends are invited to watch the Hartford Wolf Pack face-off against Providence Bruins.

With this year’s Connecticut Freemason Family Day hockey event, there is a twist: Each ticket bought online will contribute $5 to a lodge of the purchaser’s choice. When buying the discounted tickets, for just $15 apiece, the purchaser simply selects the lodge they are a member of or would like to support.

The earned money can be used by lodges as they see fit, potentially for charity, furnishings, programs, or upkeep. With this approach, lodges are incentivized to get the word out and encourage brothers, family, and friends to attend this fun-filled event. The lodge that sells the most tickets will be recognized both at the game and at the next Grand Lodge session. And importantly, all lodges benefit directly by supporting this event.

As in years past, there will be numerous Masonic-themed elements to the evening. This year’s event will continue the tradition, with some details and commitments still in development at press time. Suffice it to say, this promises to be a great opportunity to go beyond being a fundraiser by giving all members of the Masonic family in Connecticut and beyond, including appendant bodies and youth groups, a fun activity that will raise the visibility for Masonry in the state’s capital. It is also a good way to spend time with membership candidates.

As those who have attended games in the past will attest, the Wolf Pack put on an exciting, high-energy performance, and the XL Center itself is a wonderful arena, complete with ample eateries, and nearby restaurants.

Attendees are encouraged to proudly wear clothing with Masonic logos, so we have a strong visible presence. More information will be distributed to lodges and posted online. For large group purchases, such as donating tickets to support youth group, special pricing is available by calling Dave Romeiko at 860-990-6076.

Discounted tickets are available online now at www.ctfreemasonfamilyday.org. Be sure to purchase tickets by March 22nd to ensure time for delivery.
